I am deeply honored to have been named Arthur Teicher Group Psychologist of the Year by Division 49 (Society of Group Psychology and Group Psychotherapy) of the American Psychological Association! It is the highest honor bestowed by the organization and I appreciate being nominated by Cheri Marmarosh, my esteemed colleague for this award. Thank you to the committee for this recognition. It means a great deal. I am reminded of my dear mentor, Rex Stockton, who also won this award and feel a debt of gratitude to him for all his guidance, teaching, modeling of excellence and care. I will be accepting the award itself at the APA Convention in Washington DC in August.
